Artists Statement:
I am a classically trained artist. I respect a firm foundation and commitment
to ones work. I am inspired by a wide array of artists from Michelangelo’s figures, to Sargent’s ease and spontaneity. In addition to mastery of the subject, the encouragement and generosity I receive from my family and mentors cannot be stressed enough. As a child I was encouraged to paint with my Nana in her kitchen, an experience I will always remember. Like my Nana, I believe we must pass our gifts along to the next generation no matter what those gifts may be.
